Science and Spirituality

Although breakthroughs in science can bring clarity and greater understanding to many things, science is not absolute or infallible. Science can only explore through the lens of mind and senses. What is beyond the reach of mind and senses science can never truly know, only hypothesize. This is where science ends and direct 'mystical / spiritual' experience begins. This is where the ego (mind / body / sensory identification) must be dropped in order to be able to open up to a more complete and wholistic seeing and knowing. This direct and total knowing of the Heart can only arise when one is resting deeply in and as the essential and infinite Being, having fully let go of all the conceptual limitations of the mind. Science and spirituality are complimentary and not at odds with one another, so long as we are able to appreciate the unique values, insights, and perspective that each presents, recognizing it is all a part of the greater whole.  When the mind believes itself to be all-knowing, this is a state of forgetfulness of the reality of the Heart.  And when the mind eventually tires of going 'out' through the senses in search of fulfillment and understanding, it turns within, eventually returning to it's source and support.
