Impermanence

Coming and going... Coming and going... Everything is coming and going. Rest fully as That which is not coming and going. Everything is still coming and going, though now you do not mistake your Self to be coming and going. Everything (thoughts, emotions, sensations, breath, body, and all experience) arises and passes away in Your Presence, and in Your Infinite Being. You are present in the hearts of all, and all is present in You.

Yoga

It is not just what is done that matters. What matters more is the quality of attention and awareness that is brought to the activity at hand. When this attentiveness is unbroken one begins more and more to rest in and as this unbroken awareness, even in the midst of change and activity. From continued effort to sustain the attention in what is here, eventually comes a natural shift into an unbroken awareness and effortless presence beyond the mental fabric of time and space.  Even as mind and senses continue to function in their natural expression and play, this effortless and unbounded awareness remains.

The Art of Happiness

Listen to your Heart, your deepest knowing.

Be of service, selflessly.

Be kind, be compassionate.

Be grateful for all of the many blessings in your life.

Be true to your unique calling.

Rest in and as your center, the infinite and eternal Being.

Be forgiving, don't hold grudges.

Stay open, stay clear, stay here.

Live with a quiet mind and an open Heart.

Integrate and align body, mind, speech, and actions with the Heart.

Keep the body healthy (exercise, eat well, rest well).

Don't stick, don't resist, allow for the natural flow.

Science and Spirituality

Although breakthroughs in science can bring clarity and greater understanding to many things, science is not absolute or infallible. Science can only explore through the lens of mind and senses. What is beyond the reach of mind and senses science can never truly know, only hypothesize. This is where science ends and direct 'mystical / spiritual' experience begins. This is where the ego (mind / body / sensory identification) must be dropped in order to be able to open up to a more complete and wholistic seeing and knowing. This direct and total knowing of the Heart can only arise when one is resting deeply in and as the essential and infinite Being, having fully let go of all the conceptual limitations of the mind. Science and spirituality are complimentary and not at odds with one another, so long as we are able to appreciate the unique values, insights, and perspective that each presents, recognizing it is all a part of the greater whole.  When the mind believes itself to be all-knowing, this is a state of forgetfulness of the reality of the Heart.  And when the mind eventually tires of going 'out' through the senses in search of fulfillment and understanding, it turns within, eventually returning to it's source and support.
